AARP Grandparent Information Center - Information for grandparents including raising grandchildren, visitation rights with their grandchildren, and having a positive role in their grandchildren's lives.

ADDitude Magazine - A wealth of information about all ages with AD/HD and their families. Available online and also by magazine subscription.

American Academy of Pediatrics - Dedicated to the health of all children, this site offers Parenting Corner and quick access to children's health topics.

The American Association of Mental Retardation - An on-line resource that will give you rapid access to information about the mental retardation and disabilities field.

Arclink - Information for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families including support programs, services and providers.

Arizona 2-1-1 Online - A doorway to thousands of health, human service and emergency response resources. Developed in partnership with government, tribal, non-profit and community groups, Arizona 2-1-1 Online is committed to providing all Arizonans access to information and resources to improve the quality of their lives.

Arizona Center for Disability Law - Advocates for the legal rights of persons with disabilities to be free from abuse, neglect, and discrimination and to have access to education, health care, housing and jobs, and other services in order to maximize independence and achieve equality.

Arizona Department of Economic Security, Arizona Early Intervention Program - A statewide system of supports and services for families of children, birth to three, with disabilities or developmental delays. Early Intervention is professionals working in partnership with parents and families of children with special needs, to support their children's growth, development, and learning.

Arizona's Child Abuse InfoCenter - The InfoCenter acts as a clearinghouse for information, consultations, and training opportunities for professionals and volunteers dealing with child abuse issues including the unique issues of children with disabilities and special health care needs.

The Buddy Walk - Was established in 1995 to promote awareness and inclusion for people with Down syndrome. It is a wonderful, heart-warming event in which thousands of people from coast to coast and around the world participate each year!

Child Welfare Information Gateway - Adoption: Resources on all aspects of domestic and intercountry adoption, including adoption from foster care. Includes information for prospective and adoptive parents; information about searching for birth relatives.

Children & Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder – National organization representing individuals with AD/HD. Offers families education, advocacy and support.

Civitas - Using the latest research in early childhood development, Civitas produces and distributes practical, easy-to-use tools that assist adults in making the best possible decisions on behalf of children.

Connect for Kids – Helps adults make their communities better places for families and children by becoming more active citizens whether volunteering or voting with kids in mind.

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder - Accompanied by a Parent's Guide, Little Heroes is a series of comic books designed to help parents explain Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, adoption, foster care, and other difficult issues to their children. The stories are all true, and the series is meant to guide parents, through story and pictures, to help children understand why they feel and behave the way they do. The stories also can be used to help siblings in the family understand the behaviors of their brother or sister.

Good Touch/Bad Touch: Research-based violence prevention education for children in PreK through 6th grades (including information and discussions about child abuse, sexual abuse, sexual harrassment and bullying of all types, internet safety, stranger danger rules, by-stander responsibilities and answers to questions about substance abuse.)

Grandparents & Other Relatives Raising Children – Kinship caregivers often lack the information and range of supports they need to fulfill their parenting role. In an effort to remedy this situation, AARP and other partners provide the Children's Defense Fund provides state-specific data and information for all the states directing kinship caregivers to support services that can help make their jobs easier.

Infant Safe Haven Laws: Mothers in crisis can safely relinquish their babies to a safe haven where the baby will be protected and provided with medical care until a permanent home can be found. Safe haven providers include hospitals, emergency medical services, police stations and fire stations. Laws vary somewhat from state to state.

LD Online - Extensive information, including Ask Dr. Silver for parenting questions.

National Down Syndrome Congress - Empowering members "...by creating a national climate in which all persons will recognize and embrace the value and dignity of persons with Down syndrome."

National Fatherhood Initiative – The mission is to improve the well-being of children by increasing the number of children growing up with involved, committed, and responsible fathers in their lives.

New Parents Network – Communicates English and Spanish parenting information in various formats such as simple tips, audio sound bytes, photos, videos, brochures and posters.

Pacer Center: A National Center based in Minnesota with the mission to expand opportunities and enhance the quality of life of children and young adults with disabilities and their families, based on the concept of parents helping parents.

Let's Prevent Abuse: A puppet program which helps children and adults gain information about physical, sexual and emotional child abuse as well as helps children to develop personal safety skills.

Parent Information Network - For Arizona parents to obtain information and training about a wide variety of special education issues: Parent's Rights, Individualized Education Plans, IDEA, Behavior, Transition Stages 3-21, Early Education, Disability Related Issues, Academic Standards, General Directory Resources, Parent Related Resources, Special Education Resources, Self-Advocacy, and Spanish Resources.

Parents Action for Children - Formerly the I Am Your Child Foundation, this is a national non-profit dedicated to advancing the interests of families and young children. Parents' Action develops parent education materials, connects parents with one another, and fights for issues such as early education, health care, and high quality and affordable child care.

Parenting 24/7 - A one-stop source of news, information, and advice on parenting and family life from University of Illinois Extension. Designed for parents and grandparents of children from birth through the teens, it provides feature articles with research-based information, video clips of parents and experts, breaking news and commentary, newsletters, and recommendations to the best parenting resources on the web.

Parenting Children with Disabilities – Offers parents, children, family members and other community members a wide range of information and resources.

ParentKidsRight by Marilyn Heins, MD – Author of ParenTips and Arizona Daily Star parenting columnist shares common sense parenting strategies for today’s busy parents. Electronic newsletter available.

The Preventive Ounce – This interactive website is for parents of children four months through twelve years. It's focus is to help parents better understand and manage their child's temperament, so problems can be avoided and the child can learn to understand and manage his or her own temperament.

Project COPE: Website of the Shaken Baby Syndrome Council, an affiliation of organizations and individuals committed to preventing inflicted head trauma (Shaken baby syndrome). It serves as a resource for sharing skills, knowledge, and information.

Special Needs Families Resource Center - Children with special needs can be endearing, lovable, and extremely challenging. On this site, psychologist, author, and parent Robert Naseef, Ph.D., shares his insights and experiences on family life. Autism, developmental and learning disorders, cerebral palsy, special healthcare needs, etc. are discussed--focusing on the special needs of families and emphasizing the role of fathers.

Talking with Kids about Tough Issues – Kids in families who talk openly are more likely to turn to a parent first in a crisis. This site offers ways to talk to your kids about issues like drugs, alcohol, violence and sex. Electronic newsletter available.

Zero to Three – Resources on the first three years of life to strengthen and support families to promote the health development of infants and toddlers.
